Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 24, 2025
This Privacy Policy explains how HomeByte IT (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and safeguards personal information provided through this website and during service engagements. By contacting us or using our services you agree to the practices described here.
We share limited information with trusted vendors strictly for the purposes listed above:
These vendors are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for the services they provide to us.
We do not use analytics pixels, advertising cookies, or other tracking technologies on this site. If we add analytics or marketing tools in the future, we will update this Policy and provide notice where required by law.
We retain invoices, payment records, written authorizations, and necessary service history for at least seven (7) years to satisfy tax and regulatory obligations. Diagnostic notes, logs, and backups created during service are deleted once the engagement is complete unless law requires longer retention.
Submit requests by emailing privacy@homebyteit.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted communications with our vendors, device password policies, and secure storage of paper records. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we encourage clients to avoid including passwords or highly sensitive personal data in online forms.
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be posted on this page, and continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
Questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices may be sent to privacy@homebyteit.com. Please do not include passwords, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive identifiers in your messages.
